It’s All About the Community
With such a large event held over multiple days, a lot of hands are required to make it run smoothly. A number of local charities will be providing volunteers for many of the tasks, with a portion of the proceeds distributed to them for their volunteer work, based on volunteer man hours at the event. If you wish to volunteer and are not a part of one of these NFP organizations, you can choose one of them to which you can donate your volunteer hours.
To be eligible, a NFP’s membership must include citizens of Harvard, or must directly benefit the City of Harvard in some way, and be able to provide a minimum of 5 people volunteering, or at least 15 hours of volunteer time.
Not for Profit organizations must fill out an application to be on the list of agencies to which volunteer hours can be donated. An application form can be downloaded from the City of Harvard’s website, or picked up at City Hall. Contact Janet Hugg at email@example.com to apply.
The Volunteer Sign-up Link to signup.com is now active from this website link as well as from our Facebook page.
Beer tent volunteers are not a separate sign-up this year. It will happen on the same one as all other volunteer jobs.
Most tasks require volunteers be at least 14 years of age; however, special jobs will be available for children ten to thirteen. Children under 10 will not earn volunteer hours.
For additional information about becoming a designated NFP and providing volunteer services at the 3rd Annual Balloon Fest, contact Janet Hugg firstname.lastname@example.org.
